- 500 grams chicken, cut into pieces
- 2 cups basmati rice
- 3 onions, thinly sliced

- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 2 tablespoons Memoni biryani masala
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/4 cup fresh mint leaves, chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh coriander leaves, chopped
- 4 cups water
- 1/4 cup ghee
- 2 bay leaves
- 4 green cardamom pods
- 4 cloves
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1/2 teaspoon saffron strands, soaked in 2 tablespoons of milk
