  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 block feta cheese
  • 2 pints cherry tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • 1/2 cup fresh basil leaves


  • Large pot
  • Frying pan
  • Mixing spoon
  • Pasta strainer


  1. Cook the pasta
    Step 1:
    Cook the penne pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Preheat the oven
    Step 2:
    Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  3. Prepare the baking dish
    Step 3:
    In a large baking dish, add the cherry tomatoes, olive oil, minced garlic, and red pepper flakes. Toss to combine.
  4. Bake the tomatoes
    Step 4:
    Place the block of feta cheese in the center of the baking dish, surrounded by the tomatoes.
  5. Bake the pasta

    Bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes or until the tomatoes are soft and the feta cheese has melted.
  6. Combine the pasta and tomatoes

    Once baked, remove the feta cheese from the dish and gently mash it with a fork. Mix it with the tomatoes and olive oil mixture.
  7. Add the pasta and basil
    Step 7:
    Add the cooked penne pasta and fresh basil leaves to the baking dish. Toss everything together until well combined.
