Ingredients:

  • 500 grams chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 lemon juiced
  • 3 garlic cloves minced
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground turmeric
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom
  • 1/4 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons vinegar
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced

Supply:

  • Grill or stovetop pan
  • Mixing bowl
  • Skewers

Instructions:

  1. Marinate the chicken
    Step 1:
    In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, ground cumin, paprika, ground coriander, ground cayenne pepper, ground turmeric, ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground cloves, ground nutmeg, ground cardamom, plain yogurt, and vinegar. Add the boneless and skinless chicken thighs to the marinade, making sure they are well coated. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or preferably overnight to let the flavors infuse.
  2. Prepare the onions
    Step 2:
    Before grilling the marinated chicken, thinly slice a large onion and separate it into rings. Set aside for later use.
  3. Grill the chicken and onions
    Step 3:
    Thread the marinated chicken onto skewers, alternating with the sliced onions. Grill the chicken skewers and onions on a preheated grill or stovetop pan over medium-high heat. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side or until the chicken is fully cooked and has a nicely charred appearance.
  4. Serve and enjoy
    Step 4:
