Greek Chicken Shawarma Recipe

This Greek Chicken Shawarma Recipe will take your taste buds on a Mediterranean journey with its delicious flavors and tender chicken.

Ingredients:
- 1.5 pounds boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1/4 cup lemon juice
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/4 teaspoon ground allspice
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
For serving:
- Pita bread or flatbreads
- Sliced tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions
- Tzatziki sauce or hummus

Marinate the chicken
Step 1:In a mixing bowl, combine olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic, oregano, cumin, paprika, cinnamon, allspice, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Add the chicken thighs to the marinade and coat them well. Cover the bowl and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight for best results.
