Ingredients:
- 3 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
- 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/3 cups warm water (110°F/45°C)
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon sugar

Instructions:

Mix the dough
Step 1:In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, active dry yeast, and salt. In a separate small bowl, mix the warm water, olive oil, and sugar. Gradually pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients while stirring until a dough forms.

Knead the dough
Step 2:Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface and knead it for about 5-7 minutes until smooth and elastic. Form the dough into a ball.

First rise
Step 3:Place the dough ball in a lightly greased bowl. Cover it with plastic wrap and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.

Punch down and divide
Step 4:Punch down the risen dough and divide it into four equal portions. Shape each portion into a smooth ball.

Second rise (optional)
Step 5:If desired, let the shaped dough balls rise for an additional 10-15 minutes before rolling them out and baking.

Roll out and bake
Step 6:Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet in the oven to heat. On a floured surface, roll out each dough ball into a circle or desired shape. Transfer the rolled-out dough to the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet.

Step 7:Add your favorite pizza toppings to the rolled-out dough. Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes or until the crust is golden and the toppings are cooked.
