- 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon garam masala
- 1/2 teaspoon ground coriander
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 8 sheets phyllo dough
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
Prepare the filling
Step 1:In a mixing bowl, combine the chopped spinach, crumbled feta cheese, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, ground cumin, garam masala, ground coriander, cayenne pepper, and lemon juice. Mix well to create the filling for the samosas.
Assemble the samosas
Step 2:Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Take one sheet of phyllo dough and brush it with melted butter. Place another sheet on top and brush it with butter as well. Cut the layered sheets into three strips. Place a tablespoon of the spinach and feta filling at one end of each strip. Fold the end over the filling to form a triangle. Continue folding the strip in a triangle pattern until you reach the end. Seal the edge with a little butter. Repeat the process with the remaining phyllo dough and filling.
Bake the samosas
Step 3:Place the assembled samosas on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Brush the tops of the samosas with melted butter for a golden crust. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the samosas turn golden and crispy.
Serve the samosas
Step 4:Once the samosas are done baking, remove them from the oven and let them cool slightly. Serve hot with your favorite chutney or sauce. Enjoy your delicious Spinach and Feta Cheese Samosas!
