- 4 sprigs fresh thyme
- 2 cups chicken stock
Supply:
- Roasting pan
- Meat thermometer
- Basting brush

Instructions:
-
Preheat the oven and prepare the turkey
Step 1:Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C). Remove the turkey from its packaging and remove the neck and giblets from the cavity.

Season the turkey
Step 2:Place the turkey in a roasting pan. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, salt, black pepper, and minced garlic. Brush the butter mixture all over the turkey, including under the skin. Place the quartered onion, halved lemon, fresh rosemary, and fresh thyme inside the turkey cavity.
-
Roast the turkey
Step 3:Cover the turkey loosely with aluminum foil and place it in the preheated oven. Roast for about 15 minutes per pound, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C) when measured with a meat thermometer inserted into the thickest part of the thigh. Baste the turkey with the pan juices every 30 minutes during cooking.
-
Let the turkey rest
Step 4:Once the turkey is fully cooked, remove it from the oven and tent it with foil. Let it rest for at least 20 minutes before carving to allow the juices to redistribute.
-
Carve and serve
Step 5:Carve the turkey into slices and serve it with cranberry sauce and your favorite Thanksgiving side dishes. Enjoy the delicious Roast Turkey with Cranberry Sauce!
